What it means to be Organic

Organic eggs come from hens raised in a free range system with access to the outdoors. These hens are fed certified organic feed, and farmers follow the Canadian Organic Standards regulated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

Organic means we feed our chickens feed made from organic grains, vitamins, and minerals, and contain no fillers, buffers, or animal byproducts. All products are non-GMO.

Protein

With 6 grams of the highest quality protein and 14 key nutrients, eggs provide the energy needed to keep you going. Eggs are a natural choice for any healthy, active Canadian.

Eggs are one of the few foods considered to be a complete protein, because they contain all 9 essential amino acids. Since amino acids are considered to be the “building blocks for the body”, that makes eggs a good thing. Why? Because they help form protein.

To maintain a healthy, balanced diet, Canada’s Food Guide recommends eating 1 to 3 servings of meat and meat alternatives every day, depending on age and gender. This includes a variety of protein sources, such as meat, poultry, fish, beans and eggs.
